cosmicut 3.3.0: better color, less waiting

Match Style and Auto Enhance bring new premium color tools to CosmiCut, alongside smoother timeline playback and less thumbnail busywork.

CosmiCut 3.3.0 gives your videos a little help in the color department. Two new premium features, Match Style and Auto Enhance, make it easier to find a look you like. Plus some general Project Timeline performance improvements.

Match Style: bring a reference

Match Style lets you supply a reference image and match its color and tone to your video. In the Clip Editor’s Match Reference controls, choose an image from Photos or browse for a file, then adjust the match strength to decide how much of that look you want.

Your manual adjustments remain available, so the reference gives you a starting point you can keep shaping. While a reference is active, Auto Enhance pauses.

Auto Enhance: a starting point for each clip

Auto Enhance adjusts color, brightness, and contrast while preserving your manual edits.

You can turn it on for a project, and CosmiCut analyzes each clip separately. That matters when one project contains a sunny outdoor shot, a dim room, and whatever the camera decided to do in between.

Individual clips can follow the project setting or override it with On or Off. If a clip already looks the way you want, you can leave it alone without turning enhancement off for everything else.

Both Auto Enhance and Match Style are premium features.

Less waiting between edits

Playback and scrubbing in the Project Timeline have been improved, making it easier to move through a project while working on it.

The Clip Editor also no longer regenerates its thumbnails after every trim.

These are small changes individually, but trimming and scrubbing are things you do over and over. Making them smoother is the kind of improvement you get to enjoy more than once.
